A woman was injured in an explosion in North Philadelphia Thursday night, police said.

A 66-year-old woman was taken to Temple University Hospital after an explosion just after 7 p.m. on the 2000 block of North Stillman Street, according to police.

Police said one of the woman's hands was amputated and she is in stable condition.
