After Snow, 'Freezing Fog,' Black Ice Thursday Morning
Plus, another storm is headed our way this weekend.

After a snowy Wednesday evening, Thursday morning will bring black ice and “freezing fog,” the National Weather Service said.
There’s “a chance of freezing drizzle” and “areas of freezing fog” before 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, the NWS said.
“Patchy freezing fog and freezing drizzle may develop late this evening and overnight,” the NWS said later Wednesday, “leading to black ice and slick spots on roadways.”

However, things should warm up during the day Thursday, with sunny skies and highs near 40. Temperatures will drop again Thursday night, with lows around 20.
Meanwhile, the National Weather Service is tracking a “significant coastal storm” heading our way, which it says will being a mix of rain and snow on Friday and Saturday.

Wednesday’s storm
Snow began early Wednesday afternoon, prompting many area school districts to cancel afternoon activities and dismiss school early.

Garnet Valley: 0.8 inches
Chadds Ford: 0.7 inches

Royersford: 0.3 inches

Philadelphia International Airport: 0.5 inches
A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect for the region until 8 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 22.
