Phoenixville Public Library, in partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association Delaware Valley Chapter, will host a free presentation, “Understanding Alzheimer’s and Dementia”, on Thursday, January 15 at 6:30 PM. The Association’s Brad Trout will be the speaker. Alzheimer’s is not normal aging. It’s a disease of the brain that causes problems with memory, thinking, and behavior. Join us to learn about: the impact of Alzheimer’s, the difference between Alzheimer’s and dementia, Alzheimer’s disease stages and risk factors, current research and treatments available to address some symptoms, and Alzheimer’s Association resources. This event is free and open to the public. The program will also be livestreamed on Zoom for those unable to attend in person. Registration is required at https://ccls.libcal.com/calendar/Phoenixville/understanding-alzheimers-dementia or by calling 610-933-3013 x132. Email mpinto@ccls.org for more information.
