Drexel Hill Man Convicted Of Attempting To Sell Meth In Phoenixville
Damone Jones was convicted of attempting to sell methamphetamine in March 2021 to an undercover officer.
WEST CHESTER, PA —A Delaware County man was convicted in Chester County Justice Center here of attempting to sell methamphetamine and Xanax in Phoenixville in March 2021.
Damone Jones, 24, of Drexel Hill, was found guilty by a jury of intending to deliver methamphetamine and bogus Xanax to undercover officers in the 500 block of Bridge Street.
“Phoenixville is safer with Damone Jones, a drug peddler, off the streets,” District Attorney Deb Ryan said. “We thank the Phoenixville Police Department for their diligent work to protect our community from this poison.”

According to prosecutors:
On March 15, 2021, an undercover agent texted Jones about buying one ounce of methamphetamine and two Percocet pills.

While negotiating the delivery, Jones asked if he needed “to come strapped” – bring a firearm for protection.
Jones enlisted his friend, Zaahir Young, to drive him to Phoenixville.
Young brought with him a semi-automatic firearm, which he was legally permitted to carry, with an extended magazine and one bullet in the chamber.
While en route, Jones texted the undercover agent to say he didn’t bring the Percocet but had Xanax available to buy.
When the defendants arrived, they were arrested by Phoenixville police.
Co-defendant, Young, 24, of Philadelphia, was found guilty of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jones and Young await sentencing.
