Fentanyl Death In Chesco Lands Philly Man In State Prison

Kendall Brown was sentenced to six to 13 years in state prison after pleading guilty to drug delivery resulting in the death of a woman.

WEST CHESTER, PA – A Philadelphia man was sentenced Monday by Judge Ann Marie Wheatcraft to six to 13 years in state prison after admitting he caused the drug-related death of a 60-year-old woman.

Kendall Brown, 38, also known as “Doe Boy,”pleaded guilty in August to delivering fentanyl to the woman, who was not identified, in a hotel room which resulted in the woman’s death.

After the sentencing, District Attorney Deb Ryan expressed deep sympathy to the victim’s family.
“We hope this sentence eases some of their pain and serves as a reminder that we will not tolerate this poison brought into our community,” Ryan said.

According to West Goshen Township police:

  • On May 3, 2021, police responded to a call at the Quality Inn & Suites, 943 S. High St. West Chester for an unresponsive person.
  • The victim, 60, was found dead of an apparent overdose.
  • Police found 26 individual bags of fentanyl in the victim’s room.
  • Investigators reviewed the victim’s cell phone and discovered that the victim was communicating with the defendant, who was named “Doe Boy,” the previous night and had traveled to an area in Philadelphia known for drug-related activity.
  • When Brown was arrested May 5, 2021, he was in possession of 70 individual bags containing fentanyl.
