G Lodge Cafe To Open Food Truck In Phoenixville

The popular, locally owned cafe with historic roots will now have quick to-go options for locals.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The G Lodge Cafe in Phoenixville will be opening a food truck for quick to go orders at some point this summer.

The truck, located on site at the existing restaurant's location on 1371 Valley Forge Road, will offer coffee, breakfast sandwiches, and more, owners said.

G Lodge is hopeful they'll have the truck up and running by mid-July.

The eatery, which traces its roots back to the 1920s as a roadside stop between Philadelphia and Reading, is open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The move to offer a quick to-go option comes as a new Wawa is under construction on 799 Valley Forge Road. A Sheetz has also been proposed nearby, setting up a sudden slew of competition for fast snacks and drinks.
