Great Valley School District: Calendar for 2022-2023

MALVERN, PA— Back-to-school planning has already begun in the Great Valley School District, with calendars available to help parents prepare for the first day.

That calendar you may keep on your refrigerator can be filled in with days when school is closed.

Great Valley covers 43.3 square miles in Chester County. It includes Charlestown, East Whiteland and Willistown townships, and the borough of Malvern.

New student registration is available here.

The first day of school is Monday, Aug. 29.

The district plans to continue to monitor the cases of COVID-19 through the Chester County Department of Health.

Here are the days when school is closed:

• Monday, Sept 5 for Labor Day
• Monday, Sept. 26 for Rosh Hashanah
• Wednesday, Oct. 5, for Yom Kippur
• Monday, Oct. 24 for Diwali
• Thanksgiving Break: Nov. 24-26
• Winter Break: Dec. 26-Jan. 2
• Monday, Jan. 16 for Martin Luther King Jr. Day
• Monday, Feb. 20 President's Day
• Spring Break: April 3-April 7

The last day of school is Monday, June 13.
