Houlahan Hosts Telephone Town Hall For Chesco & Berks Constituents

CHESTER COUNTY — U.S. Rep. Chrissy Houlahan invites the public to participate in a telephone Inflation Reduction Act town hall.

Houlahan said inflation is a serious issue that requires serious solutions.
She said that is why congress passed a historic investment to cut the cost of prescriptions for seniors, lower energy costs, modernize the IRS to ensure wealthy corporations pay their fair share and more, all while reducing the national deficit.

- Lowering energy costs for families through direct rebates and tax credits
- Capping seniors' annual prescription drug costs at $2,000 and the price of insulin at $35 per month for Medicare recipients
- Not raising taxes on families making less than $400,000 a year.
- Ensuring corporations making over $1 billion annually pay a 15% minimum corporate tax
- Modernizing the IRS to replace outdated systems for faster processing of tax returns and ensuring billionaire corporations pay their fair share of taxes like everyone else.
