Information Sought on Shooting of Chesco Dog

The pit bull mix is recovering in a protective foster home, the Chester County SPCA says.

The Chester County SPCA is seeking information about the December shooting of a dog, the organization said Thursday.

A 7-month-old female pit bull terrier mix was brought into Glenmore Veterinary Hospital on Dec. 30 suffering from what was subsequently discovered to be a gunshot wound, the CCSPCA said.

The dog was treated at Glenmore for shock, the CCSPCA said, before being transferred to the SPCA. Exploratory surgery was performed at the CCSPCA, which is where the gunshot wound was discovered.
