Local Hero: Charles Snook

Fire Police Lt. has been serving since 1993 with 5 different companies and at 75, isn't stopping.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Kimberly Snook, his wife, who may be biased in her husband's favor, but whose who reasons for nomination stood the Hero test!

Hero's job: Fire/Emergency response

Reason for recognition: He goes out in all weather to do the traffic control. He is the Fire Police Lt. for our local fire department, Phoenixville Fire Department. He has been doing this since 1993 with five different companies.

One thing to know: He is also a cancer survivor and is going strong at age 75.
