Nearly 800K Allocated For Tredyffrin Public Library Renovations

The project includes repairing a leaky roof and upgrading air conditioning and heating systems.

TREDYFFRIN, PA — Tredyffrin Township supervisors unanimously approved a nearly $800,000 renovation project at the Tredyffrin Public Library, 582 Upper Gulph Road.

The work includes repairing the library roof and all interior damages caused by water damage from storms and the relocation of hearing and air conditioning units.

FW Holder Inc., Malvern, was awarded a $592,897 contract for general work and Hirsch Mechanical, Willow Grove, was awarded a $196,385 contract for mechanical work.

The funding for the project is part of the township’s five-year capital program and is allocated in the 2022 budget.

Supervisor Murph Wysocki said he was excited about this project coming to fruition.
“This is great,” he said. “We have long reserved funds for this.”

The supervisors noted that it is difficult to keep the building cool because the library has a lot of open space.
