New Brewery Officially Opens In Phoenixville

Long a favorite of local beer lovers in the know, Twelve78 Brewing has now opened its own space.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — One of the region's most beloved microbrewers, long a favorite of beer lovers in the area for their can releases, has opened their new taproom in Phoenixville.

Twelve78 Brewing officially opened their doors last weekend at their new home, long under construction, on 35 Bridge Street just after the Mont Clare bridge.

Owners said the grand opening days were a success, with the taproom crowded throughout the weekend.

"Thank you to all of you who came and sat in our taproom, some 3 days in a row," the brewery shared. "We are truly grateful to the people who helped us get here."

The brewery is the creation of Steve and Kara Rogacki, Phoenixville locals who have been brewing for years and who have drawn rave reviews in homebrew competitions, according to Breweries in PA.

The brewery drew praise from beer experts as well.

"Twelve78 has a fantastic spot," Kutztown Oktoberfest committee member Steve shared. "As openings always are, they were beyond busy. Beer is fantastic, especially the sourcasm choco nanaberry. It's amazing to see the process that the whole twelve78 family has gone through and to be part of our event for both years we've existed. The entire team is friendly and the community came out to support them."

The local brewers built a strong niche following in the local community over the past several months, serving to-go cans on Friday nights from their broad selection of both mainstays and special releases. These sales began in Nov. 2023 and their popularity has only grown since.

Their menu is already up and running, and highlights include a wheat beer and a lager, two New England IPAs, a porter, and wilder options like a blackberry milkshake IPA and a bourbon aged cream ale.
