New Phoenixville Brewery On Track To Open In April

The newest addition to the borough's thriving craft beer scene is nearly ready to open up its doors.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The newest addition to the borough's thriving craft beer scene is nearly ready to open up its doors.

Twelve78 Brewing Company, which is located on 35 Bridge Street just after the Mont Clare bridge, says that they are "on track" for an opening at some point in April.

The local brewers have already built a strong niche following in the local community as they serve to-go cans on Friday nights from their broad selection of both mainstays and special releases.

These sales began in Nov. 2023 and their popularity has only grown since.

The brewery is the creation of Steve and Kara Rogacki, Phoenixville locals who have been brewing for years and who have drawn rave reviews in homebrew competitions, according to Breweries in PA.

"We are currently going through the normal ups and downs of trying to open a brewery," they said. "We are on track to open in April unless we hit another roadblock."

They have been posting daily updates on their social channels as they continue to remodel their new space, which is located in the former garage that was Stillman's rentals, backing up to Ashland Street. The location is a short walk away from the riverfront and the Schuylkill River Trail.

Their menu is already up and running, and they've continued to offer limited release can nights to a devoted following in the lead up to their official opening. Menu highlights include a wheat beer and a lager, two New England IPAs, a porter, and wilder options like a blackberry milkshake IPA and a bourbon aged cream ale.

Pottstown's famous Gazzo's Steaks will also be moving their food truck just outside the brewery once they open their own brick and mortar location in downtown Pottstown.
