Phoenixville Fifth Grader Rides High as Muscular Dystrophy Ambassador

A motorcycle dealer in Bucks County has focused fundraising efforts to help the family of 10-year-old L.J. Kidon in Phoenixville.

A motorcycle dealership in Bucks County has named a Phoenixville fifth grader its 2015 ambassador for muscular dystrophy awareness, according to phoenixvillenews.com.

Each year, Brian’s Harley-Davidson in Langhorne selects a local candidate to serve as the dealership’s representative and beneficiary for its annual fundraising efforts to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association. This year, it’s Lorden Joshua “L.J.” Kidon’s turn.

A fifth-grader at Barkley Elementary School, Kidon was the guest of honor at Brian’s Harley Davidson’s benefit banquet in Northeast Philadelphia in March. He will also participate in the annual Ride for Life event held at Camelback Resort from May 1 to May 3.

Kidon suffers from Duchenne muscular dystrophy, according to the report, a severe form of the disease.
