Phoenixville Fire Dec. 2 Still Under Investigation
The late afternoon fire severely damaged several condominiums and displaced several families at the Westridge complex

PHOENIXVILLE, PA —The cause of a Dec. 2 fire that severely damaged condominiums in the Westridge complex is still under investigation, Chester County fire marshal said Wednesday.
Fire Marshal John Weer said there is not enough information to determine the cause of the fire at the development off Mowere and Township Line roads
The fire broke out at 4:05 p.m. in the rear of the two-story, 10 condominium complex, and was under control within 45 minutes.

At the Phoenixville Council meeting Tuesday night, Councilman Brian Moore complimented the Phoenixville Fire Company and all of the first responders for excellent response to the fire.
“We had a serious fire that broke out over a week ago,” Moore said. “Several families were displaced from the condos but there was great coordination by not only our fire company and the surrounding companies and also the police department and emergency services.”

Phoenixville Fire Chief Eamon Brazunas said the majority of the residents were home and were able to get out of the building quickly.
Several pets were rescued and two firefighters were treated for dehydration. None of the residents were injured in the fire.
