Phoenixville: Police Log Aug. 22 to Sept. 5

Phoenixville police arrested five suspects on public charges of public drunkenness in the borough's downtown area.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA —Police arrested five suspects for public drunkenness in the borough’s downtown area. They also arrested suspects for drunken driving, resisting arrest, trespassing and assault.

Public Drunkenness

  • A 24-year-old Schwenksville man was arrested on Aug. 27 on charges of public drunkenness and disorderly conduct for causing a disturbance in the 100 block of Main Street. Police said he attempted to run away from police, but was unsuccessful.
  • A 24-year-old Phoenixville man was arrested on Aug. 27 on a charge of public drunkenness on in the 100 block of Bridge Street,
  • A 22-year-old man was arrested on Sept. 3 on a charge of public drunkenness after being found sleeping outside intoxicated in the 200 block of Mill Street.
  • A 33-year-old female was arrested on Sept. 4 in the 300 block of Bridge Street after being observed urinating.

Drunken Driving

  • Jose Rojas-Pinto, 28, of Phoenixville, was arrested on Sept. 6 on a charge of drunken driving. Police said an individual is considered intoxicated with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08%. Rojas-Pinto’s blood-alcohol content was unavailable.

Resisting Arrest:

  • Jermaine Crawford, 30, of Philadelphia man is free on $20,000 bail after being arraigned on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, duties at stop signs, criminal mischief and institutional vandalism. Police said Crawford caused damage in the borough’s cellblock on Aug. 31 when he was waiting to be arraigned on charges of resisting arrest during a traffic stop.
  • An 18-year-old male of Spring City was arrested for resisting arrest and related charges after he refused to leave a hospital, when he was not permitted there, police said.

Trespassing:

  • A 61-year-old Phoenixville man was cited on Aug. 23 and Aug. 25 after being found asleep on a front porch in a building in the 100 block of Church Street.

Assault:

  • A 61-year-old Phoenixville man was arrested on assault and related charges on Aug. 24 after he threatened and sprayed a victim with pepper spray.
