Strawberry Fields to Return Online?
A co-owner of the now-closed smoothie shop says a Strawberry Fields webstore might be launched.

Despite —the Bridge Street fruit smoothie shop she opened with Rob Nagy in November of 2010—for the last time on August 4, Susan Barrett says she’ll look back fondly on her time in the borough.
“We met some of the coolest people,” she said via email.
“Above all, we will miss our wonderful regular customers. We are also happy that we took a chance on something that we considered to be healthy and positive. Maybe we impacted a few people and added a degree of mindfulness toward how we are all treating our bodies.”

Barrett said that, like many borough businesses, she and Nagy struggled to attract weekday customers and acknowledged that this contributed to the decision to close. She also shot down rumors that they have already found a buyer.
“We have not sold the store,” she wrote. “It is on the market, but we do not have a buyer.”

Going forward, Barrett said Strawberry Fields may reemerge, but in a different form: she and Nagy plan on opening an online webstore for the shop where they will sell, among other healthy treats, the vegan oat bars she said were among her most popular menu items.
“We had a great time running the cafe and meeting so many really cool people,” she added.
