Triest Townhouse Development Coming To Phoenixville Borough
Council approved plans for a 190-unit development off Fillmore Street, with an extension to the Schuylkill River Trail.

PHOENIXVILLE, PA —Phoenixville Borough Council voted 6-2 to approve the Trieste development of 58 townhouses and 132 stakes townhouse units at 1295 Fillmore St.
The development also includes an extension to the Schuylkill River Trail to Fillmore Street and Township Line Road, a courtyard, dog park and 27 new trees.
Council members Richard Kirkner and Dana Dugan voted against the project.

The development is located near Sacred Heart Cemetery.
Kirkner, who represents the North Ward, said the development is too dense for the area.

“This should be revised to have a wooded buffer,” he said during a Sept. 13 meeting. “This is way
too dense. There will be plenty of traffic, a lot of kids, and no place to play.”
Kirkner also suggested that a playground be included.
Resident Lisa Longo, a Phoenixville resident, also said the plan is too dense for the location.
