You Can't Beat the Phoenixville Phantom Beat

Members of the Phoenixville Area High School Phantom Marching Band drumline are getting ready to lead the band through the streets of Phoenixville during the Dogwood Festival Parade on Saturday.

The drummers were working out the beats Thursday night with band director Rocco Richardson in the parking lot between the High School and Phoenixville Area Middle School. The location lets the drum sounds echo off both buildings. After working on their parts the three drummers moved to the other side of the school building to join the rest of the drum line musicians.

Richardson says the drumline rehearses weekly throughout the year.
