Your Guide to the Fourth of July in Phoenixville

The Fourth of July is a day that Founding Father and Second President of the United States John Adams declared should be celebrated "with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of this continent to the other from this time forward forever more."
Well, that's pretty much exactly what's going on this Fourth of July all over Phoenixville and around the United States.
The Phoenixville Fireworks display will be presented Thursday Night
Here are the details as posted on Patch by the people who are running the show.
The spectacular fireworks show, presented by D & M Fireworks, LLC, is scheduled for approximately 9-9:15 p.m. at Friendship Field located at the corner of Fillmore Street and Franklin Avenue.
Rain date is July 05, 2012.
Visitors may park in the lot behind the reservior at Reservior Park, Franklin Commons, or the Santa Anna Club and at the Bethel Baptist Church on Fairview Street.
Handicapped parking inside Friendship Field and rest facilities will be provided.
Seating for the event will be available at Reservior Park and Friendship Field. The public is encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets after 7 p.m.
Petrucci's, Tracy Wilke, the Michael's and other vendors from will provide water ice, cold refreshments, funnel cakes, french fries, and other foods.
Friendship Fire Company's Dive Unit will be on hand with glow-in-the-dark trinkets for sale.
Please remember, alcohol, drugs, and pets are not permitted at Friendship Field.
