$1.7 Million Awarded To Public Safety Efforts In Montgomery County

Victims of domestic abuse, child abuse, and other crimes are served by the organizations that received funding.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — A group of Montgomery County public safety organizations has received a total of $1.7 million in state funding through a special program, officials announced.

The funds come from the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, which works to support organizations that help victims of crime as well as law enforcement agencies that protect vulnerable classes.

“Nothing is more important to me than making sure our residents are safe in their homes and on the streets of Montgomery County,” State Rep. Joe Ciresi said in announcing the funds. “I am very glad I was able to help bring these state funds in to support crime victims, protect victims of child abuse, and strengthen our probation and parole services."
