4 sister senior living communities named Best Senior Living

U.S. News & World Report, the global authority in hospital rankings and consumer advice, revealed its 2024 Best Senior Living ratings.

Four sister senior living communities: Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown, Keystone at Douglassville - Independent Living, Keystone Villa at Fleetwood, and Manor at Market Square in Reading, were named Best Senior Living by U.S. News & World Report.

Four senior living communities from the Berks County area are among a list of senior living communities nationwide named Best Senior Living by U.S. News & World Report.

Keystone at Douglassville - Independent Living, Keystone Villa at Fleetwood, and Manor at Market Square in Reading were each named Best Independent Living.

Chestnut Knoll in Boyertown is distinguished as Best Assisted Living, although the community provides personal care services. Organizations often interchange personal care for assisted living, although differences in licensing vary by state.

Each location has been named on the top list, with Manor at Market Square named consecutively since U.S. News launched its Best Senior Living in 2022.

For the U.S. News’ ratings, communities in the U.S. are evaluated in one or more of the following categories: independent living, assisted living, memory care, and continuing care retirement.

U.S. News analyzed survey data from over 400,000 residents and their family members at more than 3,500 senior living communities nationwide. The survey asked residents and family members about their satisfaction with aspects of the community such as safety, caregiving, management, staff, food and dining, and activities.

Heritage Senior Living, based in Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, manages the four properties. The company oversees senior housing communities throughout the mid-Atlantic region, including nine others in the state, two in New Jersey and three in Virginia.
