Armed Robbery At Montco Home Depot, Man Wanted: Police
When a loss prevention officer confronted the man, he flashed a gun and told him to "step back," police said.
LOWER POTTSGROVE, PA — A Montgomery County man flashed a handgun while robbing numerous items from a local Home Depot store, police said. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
James Anthony Whitlock, 45, has been charged with robbery, threatening to inflict bodily injury, retail theft, and possessing an instrument of crime.
The incident occurred at the Home Depot on 295 Armand Hammer Boulevard in Pottstown.

Whitlock took various items out of their packaging and shoved them inside his backpack before walking past the cash registers and towards the store exit, police said.
When a loss prevention officer confronted him, Whitlock opened his jacket to display a handgun and told the officer to "step back," according to authorities.

The officers backed up but was able to obtain additional descriptions of Whitlock, and police identified him through further investigation.
