Barth Elementary Students Get School Supplies

Women In Nuclear gave backpacks filled with school supplies to students in a fourth grade class.

From Pottstown School District Director of Community Relations John J. Armato:

The fourth grade students of Nikki Alutius got the school year off to a winning start with the help of school supplies from the Exelon Limerick Generating Station.  

Mrs. Tumeka Flanigan, Head of Women In Nuclear, presented each student with a backpack filled with school supplies including pencils, pens, paper, notebooks, binders and crayons to last the school year.

Speaking to the class, Flanigan said, “Getting a good education is the key to your success in the future. Set your goals high and never give up.”

The Limerick chapter of Women In Nuclear supports a network through which professional and personal development is promoted. The organization is open to all women within the Exelon community who desire to develop themselves professionally and personally.

Mrs. Alutius expressed gratitude on behalf of the students for the donation of the school supplies.

“Having the necessary tools to do homework assignments and prepare for classroom academic lessons is essential to our students’ success," she said. "We appreciate the partnership that we have established with WIN and the Limerick Generating Station.”
