Mary Ann Finegan, a resident of Chestnut Knoll, received the prestigious Dene Liott Award for her dedication and persistence in maintaining her health and wellness goals through the community’s FOX Optimal Living program.

Finegan regularly attends FOX fitness classes that target balance and flexibility. She also participates in the weekly walking club. Despite some recent medical challenges, her enthusiasm for the program ultimately resulted in her requiring less skilled therapy, Corey Hill, FOX Optimal Living Rehab director, said.

Chestnut Knoll created the award in honor of Dene Liott, a Pottstown resident and longtime advocate for seniors and caregiver awareness and creator of “What’s Happening LIVE with Dene,” a former educational program about issues surrounding aging that aired on PCTV.
