Double Homicide Overnight In Western Montgomery County

Police had received a total of nine calls for shots fired in Pottstown Borough. Two teens were found dead.

POTTSTOWN, PA — Police in this western Montgomery County town are investigating an overnight double homicide.

Investigators say two teenagers were found dead in the area of Fourth and Johnson Streets in Pottstown Borough.

Police 911 dispatchers received a total of nine calls for multiple gunshots fired in the area Monday night at around 11:33 p.m., according to the Montgomery County District Attorney's Office.

Upon arrival, officers discovered an 18-year-old male and a 17-year-old male deceased inside of a vehicle, which had been driven by one of the two men, the DA's Office stated.

Officers found 10 fired cartridge casings, one projectile and a 9 mm handgun with an obliterated serial number at the scene. Autopsies were scheduled to be performed on the victims sometime Tuesday morning.
