Fire Battled At Popular Montco Restaurant
The blaze began in the attic Monday night at a beloved local Italian eatery.

LOWER FREDERICK TOWNSHIP, PA — Volunteer firefighters were called out earlier this week to a reported fire at a popular Italian restaurant in this western Montgomery County community.
The Lower Frederick Fire Company said fire crews were dispatched Monday night at around 9:43 p.m. to a building fire at 1004 N. Gravel Pike.
A search shows that that address belongs to Moccia's Train Stop, a popular Italian restaurant in the township.

Firefighters battled a roof fire on the premises, and after breaking through they discovered flames in and around the attic area, according to fire officials.
Crews extinguished the fire rather quickly, the fire company stated.

According to its website, Moccia's Train Stop — started by brothers Matt, Steve and Jon — is known for its signature menu of Italian fare.
The restaurant says it is located in a "beautiful setting overlooking the Perkiomen Trail."
"Considered to be one of the top rated cheesesteak restaurants in Pennsylvania, Moccia's Train Stop is not only a pizza restaurant, but also one of the area's greatest Italian restaurants," a description on the business's website reads.
