NORRISTOWN - The Judiciary Committee of the Montgomery Bar Association is charged with interviewing and rating candidates for the position of judge of the Court of Common Pleas.  

The Judiciary Committee is composed of 32 lawyers of diverse backgrounds, ages, practices and geographic areas of Montgomery County with a combined legal practice exceeding 1000 years. 

Each candidate is evaluated individually and not as compared to other candidates. The purpose of the ratings is to educate the public as to whether the Bar Association recommends the retention of judges who have been serving on the Bench and to assist the electorate in their evaluation of judicial retention candidates on Election Day, November 8, 2011.  

The Committee makes a recommendation based upon the combined experience of committee members who have appeared before the judges in court and recommends the following judges be retained for an additional 10-year term on the Court of Common Pleas in Montgomery County.
