Montco Man Fatally Shoots Self When U.S. Marshals Arrive With Warrant: Reports
Del Harvey, 27, a fugitive sought by the U.S. Marshals Service, reportedly shot himself to death Monday after officers came to arrest him.
POTTSTOWN, PA — A suspect wanted by authorities for aggravated assault and related charges fatally shot himself when U.S. Marshals came to the residence where he was staying on High Street in Pottstown to serve an arrest warrant, according to local media reports.
Deputies with the U.S. Marshals Service told WFMZ 69 News that 27-year-old Del Harvey died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head around 3:30 p.m. Monday.
Harvey, who was wanted for a June aggravated assault in nearby Phoenixville, Chester County, apparently shot himself as officers were knocking on his door to serve the arrest warrant.
