Marcellus Development Workshop To Be Held

From Penn State Cooperative Extension, Montgomery County:

Penn State Cooperative Extension will host a workshop, Financial Considerations Relating to Marcellus Development in Pennsylvania on October 24 at the Lares Building, Penn State Abington Campus, 1600 Woodland Ave., Abington, PA  19001.  

The meeting will start at 7 p.m. and end at approximately 9:30 p.m.  

Speakers will include financial management, legal and CPA experts who will discuss the strategies for financial planning.  

Topics will include the Marcellus market overview, financial tax arrangements to optimize retained income and estate and investment planning.

The event will include information pertaining to financial issues and planning necessary following the drilling of a gas well.  

The public program is intended to inform landowners of the needs to address property held within the Marcellus Shale after signing a lease.
