Pottstown High School Student Explores Path To Accounting Career
A Pottstown High School student explored options toward successful accounting careers in a Point Park University program.

POTTSTOWN, PA — Pottstown High School's Elizabeth Adedeji is taking opportunities to explore career paths related to business. She recently completed a free Accounting Career Awareness Program at Point Park University.
Pottstown School District said Adedeji was accepted into the program where she was introduced to the world of accounting, business, economics, and finance through an educational and interactive curriculum involving all aspects of the business world.
She and several like-minded sophomores and juniors worked together to complete several projects including creating their own business model. She also worked with Point Park University professionals, faculty and business, government, and community mentors. Field trips were also a part of the learning.

Adedeji said, "My favorite project was when we had to make our own business from scratch. We had to find an actual building and calculate all the expenses including the credits and debits."
The group also competed in the correct calculations of their company and she took second place and won an Amazon gift card.
