Pottstown Middle Schoolers Perform In All-Star Music Events

POTTSTOWN, PA — A group of Pottstown Middle School students were specially selected to participate in 2021 All-Star Honor String Orchestra and All-Star Honor Band virtual performances.

The annual programs are sponsored by Reading-based musical instrument supplier and education company Zeswitz Music.

Representing Pottstown in the honor band were Brianna Bui, 6th grade, flute; Aiden Kancianic, 8th grade, baritone; Taylor Maguire, 8th grade, trumpet; Colin Plank, 7th grade, percussion; and Garrett Shope, 7th grade, clarinet.

Students prepared and performed the piece "Escape From Thunder Mountain" by Scott Watson. A video recording of the performance can be viewed here.

Pottstown directors Nancy Mest and Katie German provided guidance, leadership, and inspiration, said John Armato, Pottstown School District Communications Director.
