'Remembering Our Fallen Heroes'

A plaque dedication will be held at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 25 at the Pottstown Borough Police Dept., 100 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA 19464.

Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman invites you to a ceremony remembering our fallen heroes.

The Fallen Hero program was started in Philadelphia and honors the men and women who have been killed or died in the line of duty.

This program has now expanded to Montgomery County where we continue to honor the 26 officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice.  

This will be our 16th dedication in Montgomery County and will honor Patrolman Thomas W. Corum, who served 19 years with the Pottstown Police Department.

Patrolman Corum attempted to arrest two brothers for assault charges, a struggle ensued and he suffered a heart attack and later died.

A plaque dedication will be held at 9:30 a.m. Oct. 25 at the Pottstown Borough Police Dept., 100 E. High Street, Pottstown, PA  19464.

Agencies that plan to send representatives to the dedication ceremony should call Detective Bud Dinnell at 610-278-3385.

Personnel in attendance should be in full dress uniform and arrive by 9 a.m.
