Riverfront Park Bridge Opens In Pottstown

POTTSTOWN, PA — A lengthy project in Pottstown's Riverfront Park is finally complete.

A ribbon cutting ceremony for the new bridge, which serves as a connector to the regional Schuylkill River Trail, was held on Tuesday.

"While this project may have seemed simple, it actually involved a great deal of riverbank stabilization and reinforcement in addition to the bridge repairs," officials with the Schuylkill River Trail shared.

The park is one of the key green spaces along that stretch of the trail, and includes the headquarters for the Schuylkill River Greenways National Heritaga Area organization.
