Teen Victims Identified In Montco Double Homicide

Authorities released the names of the two young men who were fatally gunned down Monday night in Pottstown Borough.

POTTSTOWN, PA — Two teenagers who were fatally gunned down earlier this week in this western Montgomery County community have been identified.

The Montgomery County District Attorney's Office said those who were found dead from gunshot wounds on Monday at around 11:30 p.m. at Fourth and Johnson Streets in Pottstown were Skyler Fox, 17, of Stowe, Pa., and Brandon Bacote-Byer, 18, of Lower Pottsgrove Township.

Police said they responded to a call about a shooting to find both victims lying by Fox's vehicle

Investigators combing the scene found numerous fired cartridge casings, one bullet and a 9mm handgun that had an obliterated serial number, according to the DA's Office.

On Wednesday, prosecutors said an autopsy performed on Tuesday by forensic pathologist Julia De La Garza, with the Montgomery County Coroner's Office, determined both individuals died from multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death was ruled homicide.
