Teenage Girl, 14, Shot In Pottstown During Fight: Police
Several girls were involved in a melee which ended in gunfire.
POTTSTOWN, PA — A teenage girl was shot during a fight involving several other children in Pottstown on Tuesday night, according to police and media reports.
The incident occurred at around 7:30 p.m.on Myrtle Street in the Bright Hope community, an apartment complex less than a mile from Route 100.
It's not clear what started the melee, but several girls were involved, police said.

At some point, a shot was fired and the girl was hit in the chest, according to authorities.
The child was taken to a nearby hospital where she remains receiving treatment.
