UPPER POTTSGROVE, PA — A Montgomery County man manufactured illegal ghost guns, untraceable firearms often sold to criminals, inside his home, authorities announced on Wednesday.

Tahmeir Wilson, 24, of Upper Pottsgrove, has been charged with illegal firearms sales, conspiracy, corrupt organizations, and related counts.

Montgomery County detectives received a tip from Montgomery County Adult Probation and Parole tying Wilson to the weapons, the district attorney's office said.

A warrant at Wilson's home turned up numerous tools needed to build the weapons privately, magazines, drum mags, and two fully completed ghost guns, according to police.

Investigators said they also found several photos of the weapons up for sale online.

“Since privately made firearms have no serial numbers, this makes them virtually untraceable and poses a serious danger to the safety of our community," DA Kevin Steele said in a statement.

Wilson was arrested and arraigned on Nov. 14, and bail was set at $99,077. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
