Bomb Threat Causes Evacuation of CVS

A bomb threat received shortly before 2 p.m. on Wednesday caused the evacuation of the CVS at 316 East Lancaster Avenue in Wayne.

There have been bomb threats called into CVS locations across the country recently, said Radnor Sgt. Joseph Maguire. The store's employees voluntarily evacuated themselves after the phone call, he said.

Less than an hour after the call police were on site awaiting a bomb-sniffing dog from Lower Merion Police Department. Radnor is in the process of obtaining its own K9 unit, which would include two dogs trained in bomb sniffing, Maguire said.
