On October 18 Radnor resident Janet Haas along with nearly 100 regional business leaders and area youth will experience the thrill of a lifetime as they rappel 31 stories down One Logan Square in Center City for “Building Adventure 2013,” a fundraising event for Outward Bound Philadelphia School.
Now in its second year, and eleven stories taller, “Building Adventure 2013” will benefit veterans, underserved youth, and teens whom have suffered a tragic loss.
Participants in the October 18 rappel are required to fundraise $2,000 to earn a spot to rappel, with proceeds benefiting students from underserved Philly communities and teens who have suffered a tragic loss, and funding expeditions for war veterans.
On September 12, Russell Byers Charter School became a training ground with a four-story practice rappel down the side of the school building.
Interested participants can register and fundraise for “Building Adventure 2013” by visiting outwardboundphiladelphia.org.
