Radnor Residents Encouraged to Apply for Property Tax Rebate
Township officials estimated that 150 residents would qualify for school tax rebates.

RADNOR, PA — Residents may be eligible for a tax rebate from the Radnor Township School District for school property tax paid in the 2021 tax year.
Data collected in May 2022 from the 2020 tax year indicates that 150 Radnor residents qualify for the state's rebate program, and would be eligible for a matching rebate from the district.
Radnor residents eligible for rebates include residents 65 and up; widows/widowers ages 50 and up; and/or persons with disabilities ages 18 and up who meet specific income requirements.

The income eligibility is under $35,000 for homeowners or under $15,000 for renters and receive from the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue.
The rebate from the district would typically match the rebate received from the state, however rebates will not exceed the total amount of taxes paid by the eligible resident.
To take advantage of the additional rebate, residents are required to follow these step:

- Prior to Dec. 31, 2022: Apply for the PA Department of Revenue rebate and meet all eligibility requirements
- Prior to June 30, 2023: Upon receipt pf PA Department of Revenue rebate, submit required documentation to RTSD
The rebate will typically be mailed to eligible residents who complete the required steps within two weeks of the district's receipt/notification of the required documentation.
The school board approved the district's new property tax/rent rebate matching program at a meeting in May.
