SE Postal Facility One Step Closer to Closing
A public meeting on January 3 is the next step in the process of closing the Southeastern Processing and Distribution Center.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) will hold a public meeting on January 3 to discuss its plan to close the Southeastern Processing and Distribution Center in Tredyffrin.
It's part of the USPS' efforts to close 252 mail sorting facilities in 2012. The Postal Service needs to trim about $3 billion from its budget in order to survive.
The public meeting follows several months of study into the feasibility of closing the Tredyffrin facility and folding its operations into the a giant new mail center near the Philadelphia International Airport.
