Unity In The Community Annual Radnor Township Block Party

Residents are asked to bring backpacks filled with school supplies to help children in need to the event or to the township building.

RADNOR, PA — Radnor Township is celebrating the end of summer with a “Unity in Our Community Block Party” from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 27, at Highland Ave., Odorisio Park, Wayne.

Residents are asked to bring backpacks filled with school supplies to help children in need prepare for the first day of school.

Suggestions to fill the backpack include colored markers, crayons, pencils, dry erase pens, glue sticks, and binders.

Bags can be also purchased at www.bagsinbulk.com.

Book bags can also be dropped off at the Radnor Township Building at 301 Iven Ave. through Friday, Aug. 26.

The block party also features a 3v3 Basketball Challenge and a family yoga class.

The basketball will begin at 12:15 p.m. To participate, contact tcohen@radnor.org.
