Wayne Elementary Students Blow Bubbles for Autism
The annual Bubbles for Autism celebration raised awareness for National Autism Awareness Month.

The sky around Wayne Elementary School was filled with bubbles as students and staff members raised awareness for autism during the school’s annual Bubbles for Autism celebration on April 1.
Kids lined the school’s long, winding driveway for the worldwide event, created by FACES 4 Autism, which spreads awareness for autism by encouraging participants to blow bubbles as symbols of hope to families with autistic children.
”This is the third year that Wayne Elementary students and staff participated in Bubbles for Autism,” said special education teacher Beth Stackhouse. “This is one day where everyone comes together in unity to help raise awareness. We need to do our part to get the word out.”

Before joining on the bus loop, students in grades kindergarten through fifth grade watched a video and learned about the purpose of the bubbles. During the event, Stackhouse recognized the importance of the school’s participation and concluded with a countdown to all students blowing bubbles.
FACES 4 Autism is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and support of children with autism and their families through family activities, community awareness programs, and educational events throughout the year.
