Wayne Resident Receives State-Wide Recognition

Wayne resident Cheryl Tumola was named to the Honor Roll of the Pennsylvania League of Women Voters at the organization's convention in June.

Wayne resident Cheryl Tumola was named to the Honor Roll of the Pennsylvania League of Women Voters at the organization's convention in June.

People are nominated to the Honor Roll "in recognition of their energy and commitment to the ideas, principles and support for the League."

Tumola has been active in the League of Women Voters since 1980 and has held leadership roles in the League of Women Voters of Radnor Township.

She was one of the driving forces behind the pilot recycling program, household hazardous waste collection and Delaware County Open Space Program. She has also sat on a number of Radnor Township boards and commissions.
