Manayunk Rejects Massive Apartment Complex Proposal
The apartment complex on Main Street was firmly disapproved of by local residents.

MANAYUNK -- The city of Philadelphia rejected a proposed massive apartment development on Main Street after Manayunk residents expressed firm disapproval, according to a report.
Two local groups, the Wissahickon Neighbors Civic Association and Manayunk Neighborhood Council, lobbied to defeat the proposal on the grounds that the area was already too densely populated, the Philadelphia Business Journal reports.
The proposed development at 3811 Main Street would have created 65 new apartment units, the report states.
