ROXBOROUGH, PHILADELPHIA — Philadelphia Police have released images and video of the person who painted racist and antisemitic graffiti on Roxborough High School over the weekend.

Police said he spray-painted the back wall of the school, four back doors, and the doors of a shed at the nearby Gorgas Recreation Center.

Investigators found a red Rust-Oleum spray paint can that matched the color of the graffiti found on both locations, and an orange Nerf-style toy gun.

The suspect was last seen headed towards Ridge Avenue.

"This past weekend, racist and antisemitic graffiti was discovered at Roxborough High School. Immediately, the school administration and community mobilized, condemning the incident and writing messages of unity and inclusion to greet students as they returned from winter break," the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia said in a statement. "Moving forward, we hope that all schools in the School District of Philadelphia adopt the same approach as Roxborough High School: addressing hate and intolerance head-on and working to bring the community together to shift the narrative. All incidents of hate speech and harassment deserve to be taken seriously and investigated fully."

Police said the suspect was a white man who was wearing an orange scarf/wrap, green and black winter hat, gray hooded jacket, gray pants, and a gray and black backpack.

Do no approach the suspect if he is spotted and instead call 911, police said.
