73-Year-Old Woman Injured When Car Rolls Over Her Legs

Her husband tried to stop the car, but drove it into a neighbor's house by accident.

A 73-year-old Salisbury woman was injured this afternoon when her own call rolled over her legs, according to web reports.

The Morning Call reports that Patricia Schlegel was taken to St. Luke’s Hospital with at least one broken leg. Her 78-year-old husband, Robert, got a bump on the head when he tried to stop the car, but instead backed it into a neighbor’s house.

WFMZ says the couple was loading their car at 721 Barner St., when it started rolling down the driveway; Robert jumped in the car, but hit the gas instead of the break, and went across the street and hit the home at 720 Barner St. according to the article.
