Car Stolen, More Break-Ins, Police Say

Salisbury Police say a 2013 Subaru was stolen from a College Lane home Sunday night.

Salisbury Township Police confirmed that a 2013 Subaru was stolen from a home on College Lane Sunday night.

Police described the car as a gray 2013 Subaru Cross Trek. Police said that there are no suspects in the car theft at the moment and that an investigation is ongoing.

Salisbury Police Chief Allen Stiles told Patch on Monday that more car break-ins have occurred recently in the Green Acres section of the township. Stiles said all of the cars were unlocked.

Earlier this month, a car was stolen and more were broken into on Paxford Road, Lexington Street, Marlow Street and Maumee Avenue.

And, on June 30, a total of 13 cars were targeted and broken into.

Stiles has called these thefts "a crime of opportunity," and continues to urge Salisbury Township residents to keep car doors locked.
