Champs Again! Salisbury Wins District 11 Baseball Title
The Salisbury High School baseball team defeats Notre Dame-Green Pond Wednesday at Coca-Cola Park to win the District 11 2A title. The next stop for the Falcons is the PIAA 2A state tournament.

The Salisbury High School baseball team punched its ticket to the PIAA state tournament with a 9-4 victory over Notre Dame-Green Pond in the District 11 2A title game Wednesday at Coca-Cola Park in Allentown.
The District 11 2A victory is the seventh District crown in the program's history.
Notre Dame-Green Pond took the lead in the third inning with two runs, but the Falcons came back with three runs in the bottom of the inning to take the lead and never looked back.

"I'm really happy for this group of seniors this year. To win [Colonial] league and Districts, that's something special for this group of seniors," said coach Mike Pochron in an interview with Service Electric Cable Television.
"We came right back after giving them two. I knew we could come back and that was important. We have the talent, as I keep telling the players, who's hungry, who wants to keep playing? We'll give it our best shot."

Salisbury improved to 23-1 with the victory and will certainly receive a high seed in the state tournament.
Last year, the Falcons advanced to the PIAA 2A final and finished as the state runner-up.
The PIAA 2A tournament kicks off Monday, June 3. Salisbury's opponent is yet to be determined.
