The cost of gasoline in Pennsylvania dropped a tiny bit more this week, according to AAA’s fuel report, but, based on historic data, the national average price at the pump may be near its summer low. This is thanks, in part, to rising crude oil prices, the report says.
In Pennsylvania, today’s average price of self-serve gasoline is $3.469 per gallon, down one-tenth of a cent from a week ago, down 2.2 cents from a month ago and 9.9 cents higher than a year ago.
In the Lehigh Valley, the average price of self-serve gasoline is $3.421 per gallon, seven-tenths of a cent lower than a week ago, 4.5 cents lower than a month ago and 11.5 cents higher than a year ago.
Locally, according to gasbuddy.com, you can still beat the Lehigh Valley average at the Giant gas station, which is selling a gallon of unleaded regular at $3.35. Also, the Daisy Hill Market is selling a gallon of unleaded regular at $3.39.
